 Cloisonné Enameling 5-Day Workshop

October 3 - 7, 2019

Thursday - Monday (note unusual timing for this workshop)

9:30 am - 6:00 pm (no instruction after 4:30 pm)

Cloisonné enameling is essentially drawing with wires and filling in around them with glass.  Several processes will be discussed but cloisonné will be the primary technique covered.  It can be simple or complex.  Everyone will learn how to use Harlan's special jig for forming repetitive shapes in cloisonné.  Basic metalsmithing/jewelry skills and some enameling experience would be helpful, but beginners are welcome.  Harlan will bring some 1 7/8 inch copper and fine silver disks and some small copper vessels, which will be for sale to students.
