2 Day Live Workshop
Ciao Bella! The Roman Ring
with Helen Blythe-Hart
Saturday - Sunday
September 25-26, 2021, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm daily
IMPORTANT! All visitors, instructors, and students will be required to wear face masks at all times while in the building. We encourage social distancing as much as possible and frequent hand washing.
Join us for this fun workshop exploring an ancient Roman bling design using multiple graduated sized stones set on a scalloped silver sheet with a hammered band for a customized fit. We’ll start by learning some tips for making the small bezels and soldering them on one-by-one using HBs special soldering techniques. Next, master the Mizzy wheel to sculpt the scalloped edges. Then we’ll add the attractive hammered band and size it to perfection. After all the metal work is done, we’ll set the stones! You’ll see some attractive options for making your bezel setting easier and modifying your setting tools to fit into tight spaces. Wear your lovely bling home. Ciao Bella!!
Buy the convenient class kit that includes the beautiful natural clear rose cut zircons, silver bezel, sheet, plus the rectangular wire for the band that you’ll need for the ring. Tools include the Mizzy wheel and sanding discs you’ll need to finish your piece. Prices will range from $45 for a 3-stone ring to $60 for a 5 stone ring. Additional supplies available in class.
