Join Alex Boyd in this engaging and hands-on class as he walks you through the process of creating a hinged cuff bracelet with not one, but two clasps—a pressure clasp and a figure 8 safety clasp. While a safety clasp might not always be in vogue, Alex’s philosophy is clear: “belt and suspenders, baby!” Learn how to build a durable yet elegant oval bangle, then transform it by adding a seamless hinge and secure closures. Along the way, Alex will share expert tips, tricks, and even some surprising secrets—jewelry-related and otherwise—that will inspire and enhance your craft.

Bonus Feature:

As a special addition to the workshop, Alex will provide instruction on the fundamentals of flush-setting diamonds into the structure of your bracelet. While the demonstration will take place during the class, students will complete their diamond setting outside the workshop on their own time. This ensures the primary focus remains on hinge and clasp fabrication while giving participants an extra skill to expand their jewelry-making repertoire.
